Ponte Vedra Family Dentistry

Shadowing, 330 hours

• Assisted up to 8 general and prosthodontic procedures a day gaining hands-on experience working under a board-certified Prosthodontist • Crafted models using acrylic materials
• Observed general consultations and gained understanding on the foundations of general dentistry and hygiene
• Helped file insurance claims acquiring understanding in the business side of successfully running a private practice

LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Girls Empowered by Math and Science (GEMS)
Founder and President

•Founded a student organization dedicated to STEM mentorship in young girls through weekly visits to multiple elementary schools to perform a science project connected to an influential female in STEM

•Designed a website where students around the world can access projects, presentations, and lessons plans with a step-by-step instruction on how to start a branch of GEMS at their educational institution

•Managed over 300 applications, created 16 director positions, 13 assistant director positions, and 10 committees within the organization to encourage engagement in club members

•Extended GEMS to a second elementary school, Park City High School in Park City, UT and Ponte Vedra High School in Ponte Vedra, FL reaching over 150 elementary aged girls around the nation every week

•Networked with UF surgeons, professors, and policewoman to coordinate their guest appearance at the GEMS sessions allowing for a live representation of what it means to be a women in STEM

Full STEAM Ahead Summer Camp

Founder

•Created a two week science camp focused around incorporating art into 50 STEM lessons for 35 kids

Alpha Delta Pi Sorority Executive Board

Director of New Member Education

•Elected out of 300 girls to facilitate the transition of 78 new members into the organization through hosting weekly meetings, risk-managing, assisting in any transitional needs, to educate them on the principles of our organization

•Functioned as a liaison between the 14 executive board advisors and the 300 chapter women to execute the proper initiation process and ceremony
